Starving Artists Sale
The Starving Artist Sale will take place at school during the week of May 12th.  Your child’s artwork that was displayed at the Library during the Week of the Young Child will be available for a free will donation. Artwork will be displayed on the wall across from your child’s classroom.  The children have priced their individual pieces if you need some assistance in determining the value. The money collected will go to the Pat Collins Scholarship Fund, which provides Tree Town families assistance with their tuition.

Spring Family Survey
In order to continue to offer our families a quality program we ask your assistance in completing a survey. Forms will be emailed and also available at school. Please return them by Friday, May 16th. We appreciate you taking time to complete the form. Since these forms are also used for day care centers you may find that some questions do not apply or are not necessary if that is the case you may mark “not applicable” or “don’t know”.

Goldfish
Our goldfish will be looking for a home for the summer. We have three aquariums that we would be happy to loan to three families for the summer. Send an email to Sue Weber at treetown@comcast.net if you are interested.

Last Day of School
The last day of classes for this school year will be Thursday, May 22 and Friday, May 23.  We would like to invite parents to join us for our last hour of class together.  We will have a short program beginning at 10:00 for morning classes and 1:45 for the afternoon class. Since our schedule is quite full we ask that you arrive promptly. Our plans include sharing a picture presentation, some favorite music, finger plays, stories and our Friendship Fruit Kabobs snack. This is a time, particularly for the 4 year olds, to share their school experience one last time.  If you feel that a younger sibling would distract from your child having his special time with you perhaps you would consider making other arrangements for siblings.

Friendship Fruit Kabobs
For our snack on our last day of school we would like each child to bring one fresh fruit that we can then cut up at school and place on a kabob to share with our family.  Please ask your child for input as to what they might like to bring. The wider the variety the better!  Snack helpers may wish to bring teddy grahams or graham crackers to go with our fruit.

 Memorial Day Parade
We are once again planning to march in the Memorial Day Parade. This has turned out to be a very pleasant family activity. The kids always have a great time getting their decorations ready prior to the kick off of the parade. Set Memorial Day aside to March with Tree Town Monday May 26! Information will be posted on the bulletin board closer to the day. Marianne and Tim Langan are the parade coordinators for this year.

Clean-Up Committee Reminder
Those parents who signed up to help with the end of the year clean up don’t forget Wednesday, May 28 in the evening 6:30-9:30.  If you were not able to help in January, you are expected to fulfill your obligation by helping now. Michelle Freeman has a list and will be contacting you.

Picnic
A tradition at Tree Town has been an end of the year informal picnic.  The date for this year will be Wednesday, May 28. We will meet at Salt Creek Park at 11:30 a.m.  We invite you and your child and anyone else who can make it to join us.  Bring your lunch.  Please join us for some fun and fellowship. Salt Creek is located at Second Street just east of Route 83. We have found this location avoids the congestion of some of the other parks during the warm weather.
